The worst feeling when putting your work out.

I am so afraid of building something and putting it out for the world to see. Everytime I draft a tweet I think of all the possible reactions from people. Hence I rarely share on the internet.

But I sometimes pull all the courage I have and put something out. And the worst feeling of them is not even negative comments. It is to find out that nobody cares.

To put something and receive no feedback eats you like a black hole. It is a dreadful and unbearable void.

Now you wish people would just bash your work.

Working for the algorithm

Now, you are obsessing on how to get views. You finally figured it out - SEO. And that would just lead you to the worst part of yourself. Because now you are tweaking your passion for the algorithm.

That is a path that would make you build stuff you don't even need. Because you are chasing the key words. That is another bad situation to be in.

Where you at and where they at.

The magic is of course to build something you need and few other people will need too. Then hangout where these people hangout too. On top of that you must also be lucky with timing.

However, that is a number of variables that are completely uncontrollable. I am sure that would drive you crazy, and it will too. But there is nothing to do about those variables. You cannot control the timing of a product. You can only gamble and hope for the best.

But one thing must stay constant for the whole thing to ever work out. You should always build no matter what. You should build stuff that you need and care about. You should love your craft and stick with it.

Remember there is nothing but your craft.

Then, you can leave the magic of being at the right place, with the right people and the right time for the gods.
